Scavenger Hunt for a Cure
Event Details
Join New Yorkers for a Cure on Saturday October 6, 2012 at City Hall Park for a fun afternoon for a great cause! We will be starting the check-in process at 1:15pm-2:15pm the scavenger hunt will start promptly at 2:30pm. That is where the fun will begin, your four person team will be given 2 hours to go around Lower Manhattan learning a bit of history, taking photos, recording videos and collecting items. We ask that all team members are 21 or over due to the after party will be hosted at Billy Hurricanes Bar at 25 Ave B at 4:30pm. We will then tally all the teams scores and award the winners with excellent prizes and drink specials.
This year we will be collecting donations for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 100% of all base tickets bought will be going directly to the charity. The National Breast Cancer Foundation's mission is to save lives through early detection and to provide mammograms for those in need. Their mission includes increasing awareness through education, providing diagnostic breast care services for those in need, and providing nurturing support services.
So get your friends together to create your 4 person team and come up with a creative team name. If you can't find anyone to join in on the fun for the day with you no worries, you can purchase a single ticket and we will pair you up on the day of the event .You may also purchase an individual ticket even if you have a team put together in cases where you each want to purchase your own, on the day of the event you will come check in as an individual but alert us you already have a team so we do not pair you up. The closest subways are the R-City Hall, or the 4,5,6- Brooklyn Bridge City Hall. Please bring a camera with a memory card to use for the photos and video portion of the hunt. Also please wear walking shoes and the event will be held rain or shine, we are hoping for shine. All team member must be present at the 2:30pm start time at City Hall Park. The after party is open to anyone 21 years of age and older so if you have friends that want to meet up with you after the event we will be at Billy Hurricanes starting at 4:30pm.
